Privacy policy
Last updated 5 August 2026
This policy explains what Waheed Pharmacy collects when you use our app or website, why we hold it, who else can see it, and how long we keep it. We are a licensed retail pharmacy in Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab, Pakistan, and we are responsible for the information described here.
What we collect
- Your account — name, email address, mobile number, and the language you choose.
- Delivery details — the addresses you save, and a contact number for the door if you give one.
- Orders — what you bought, when, the amount, and the delivery status.
- Prescriptions — the photographs or PDF files you upload, and our staff's decision on them.
- Consultations — if you book a doctor through the app, the text and voice messages exchanged in that consultation.
- Pharmacist chat — what you type to the in-app assistant.
- Technical — a notification token for your device so we can tell you about your order, and ordinary server logs.
We do not collect payment card numbers. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
Why we hold it
- To take, prepare and deliver your order.
- To check a prescription before dispensing a medicine that legally requires one.
- To let you and a doctor communicate if you book a consultation.
- To meet the record-keeping duties that apply to a pharmacy.
- To answer you when you contact us about an order.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of service providers, and only for the purposes above:
- Clerk — handles sign-in and stores your login credentials.
- Microsoft Azure — hosts our servers, database and uploaded files, in the United Arab Emirates region.
- Google (Gemini) and Amazon Web Services (Textract) — read prescription images to suggest matching medicines, and power the in-app pharmacist chat.
- Expo — delivers push notifications to your device.
- Our payment processor — when online payment becomes available, it will handle the transaction; we will never see your card details.
Our own staff see your information only where their job requires it. A delivery rider sees your name, number and address only for an order they are actually carrying, and that access is recorded. A doctor sees only the records you have chosen to share with them for a specific appointment, and that access is recorded too.
We will also disclose information where the law or a regulator requires it.
How long we keep it
- Prescriptions: five years from the date you upload them. Pharmacy record-keeping rules require this, so we cannot delete them earlier even on request.
- Orders and their delivery history are kept as our business records.
- Account details, saved addresses and pharmacist-chat history are deleted when you delete your account.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from the app, under Profile. When you do, we remove your profile, saved addresses, notification tokens and pharmacist-chat history. Prescription records and the orders attached to them are retained for the five-year period described above, because we are legally required to keep them. Nothing about your deleted account is used to contact you again.
How we protect it
- Everything travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
- Uploaded prescriptions and voice messages are stored encrypted, and can only be opened through a short-lived link issued to someone entitled to see them.
- Access to patient records by a doctor or a rider is written to an audit log.
- Backups are encrypted and stored separately from the server.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects your information.
Children
The app is for adults. You may order for a child in your care, but the account must belong to an adult.
Your choices
You can correct your details in the app at any time, turn off notifications from your device settings, or ask us what we hold about you by calling the number below.
